The GNRT is a gem of a craft beer spot. Yes, it's owned by Fullers, but boy do they have a big selection of independent craft beers which regularly rotates. The staff are friendly, the food is good and this is a gorgeous old victorian pub that deserves a few beers in. We love it here in the summer when you can make use of the wonderful beer garden out back.

Journey Tip: A great place to start this trip - closest station is Hornsey overground and a 10 minute walk to Turnpike Lane underground. Start off with a spot of lunch? Dog friendly.

The Goodness Brewing Company was founded by a group of friends passionate about craft beer around eight years ago. Their brewery taproom is everything we've come to expect from a modern craft brewery taproom and we're here for it. Great beer, benches and pizza - if it isn't broke, don't fix it. 

Journey Tip: A short ten minute walk. Again another place to stop for some food and spend an hour or two making your way through the beers. Dog friendly.

The Prince N22 is top on the list for many locals in the Wood Green area and afar. Expect a good turnover of  the best craft beer around and some fine pub food. The pub also boasts an exciting collection of modern cask beers. 

Journey Tip: This is about a 20 minute walk from the last stop so you might want to grab a take away from Goodness for your journey. Dog friendly.

A unique micro pub on a bus! Ludo's is a two minute walk from Wood Green Tube Station and a must stop for any craft beer fan who likes friendly service, eclectic craft beers. There's also a very good selection of natural wines. The venue also hosts some of the best comedy nights in North London and have a full diary of events. Hopefully you'll get to meet, Mag, the pub dog too. Ed hosts the seasonal pub quiz here and its a home from home for us. 

Journey Tip: You could end this journey either here or at the Prince - we'd recommend here though - the lines are probably the cleanest in London and the owners are happy for you to order in food. Dog friendly.

A Muswell Hill institution. Muswell Hillbilly Brewers has been brewing since around 2017, beginning as hobbyists before taking things a little more seriously, selling their beer commercially and opening up this taproom. Perhaps more of a 'tap-garage' this place is like your neighbourhood living room. The beers are good, the people are friendly and this is a unique little space in north London that needs to be on your to do list. 

Journey Tip: Grab some lunch in Muswell Hill before beginning your journey here. It's all downhill from here so it makes sense to be your starting point. Dog friendly.

This place reopened earlier this year and has fast become a hotspot for craft beer lovers in London. It's packed most nights and pumps beer from all the big names in the independent craft beer world. Expect your DEYA, Kernel,  Verdants and many many more. The Robin also boasts a fantastic line up of modern cask pumps which will satisfy most cask heads out there. No Bookings, No Champagne, No VIPs - love it!

Journey Tip:  It's wise to jump on the W7 from Muswell Hill to Crouch Hill for this leg, or pick up a take away from MHB for the 30-40 minute walk. Dog friendly.

If you like lager then you'll like this pub. Actually, if you like beer, then you'll LOVE this pub. Reopened by local heroes, Bohem Brewery, in early 2024, Nicholas Nickleby is THE spot to get your sips on some of the best Czech style lager being brewed in the UK. Boasting traditional Czech taps and authentic Czech pours, this spot is a must stop for any fan of craft beer. There are also a couple of taps dedicated to other local craft brewers and a cider tap, so all tastes are duly catered for.

Journey Tip: A short 10 minute walk from stop 2. There is a fantastic mini super market opposite with an incredible range of craft beer cans for sale. Dog friendly.

Small Beer = Big vibes. This taproom is a spot on blue print for the 'modern day craft beer pub'. With 16 taps, there are beers on here from all the big name indie brewers. Also, uniquely, the taproom is open past midnight, every night of the week, often with a DJ playing. The pizza is very tasty and available until very late, too - this all sounds too good to be true, right? Well settle in, cuz we wouldn't lie to you.

Journey Tip: With the late opening times and food availability, it makes sense to end your journey here. You could experience this journey in the opposite direction... but we think this way just, works. Dog friendly.
